Leadership Activities for Children

  The best time for us to teach leadership skills is when our children are young. This can be done through a variety of different activities. Teaching these skills early on is critical. They will help our children improve their self-esteem and as they get older (especially during those dreaded teenage years) they will be less likely to give in to peer pressure as they will not rely the approval of others. These leadership skills will also be invaluable later in life as well.more

Set Firm Boundaries

  One of the biggest challenges as a parent is knowing how to discipline your child. First of all, each child is very different and you may need to adjust your discipline philosophy based upon the personality of that child but we will get to that more in a future post.

Kris on TV!

Last Saturday, I was recording the talk show, "Talk It Out", on the channel Mom-on-Demand with Mio TV. I was the parent "expert" on the progamme. I was excited to meet the presenter, Susanna Kulatissa. With her cue, it was much easier for us to flow with the programme.

She is really charming, professional and very reassuring. As it was the first time to be on-air  for many of us, she kept encouraging us and told us to focus on what we can do to help other parents.more
